RDA To Sell England And Super League International TV Rights

Sports media rights agency, RDA has been appointed as the exclusive agent for Betfred Super League’s international distribution rights (excluding UK, Ireland and France) via a deal agreed with global rights-owner Sky in a four season agreement covering 2018-21 inclusive.

RDA has also acquired rights from the RFL for England’s three-test series against New Zealand played in England in autumn 2018.

RDA’s efforts will focus on growing the global broadcast footprint for rugby league and revenues in the sport’s core markets of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

RDA has secured Super League’s first ever broadcast deal with EMTV, Papua New Guinea’s oldest and largest free-to-air broadcaster, which follows the success of the 2017 RLWC. There are several leading PNG players at Super League clubs.

England’s series against New Zealand will be played on 27th October at KCOM Stadium in Hull, 3rd November at Anfield in Liverpool, and 11th November at Elland Road in Leeds.
