  • RWC Fans Fall Victim As Ticket Fraud Revenue Grows By 55%

    Online ticket fraud revenue has risen by 55 per cent in the space of a year, driven by scams targeting fans of Premier League football and the Rugby World Cup, the BBC has reported.     More than 80 people that bought Six Nations rugby hospitality tickets from an unauthorised seller have lost out on thousands of pounds. Which? revealed that a firm calling itself ‘Elite Sports Hospitality’ charged more than £10,000 for corporate boxes at Twickenham stadium.     A serial fraudster has been jailed over a scam selling fake tickets to unsuspecting fans for the British and Irish Lions tour of Australia in 2013, according to the Manchester Evening News.
