    The £23million development of Worcester’s Sixways stadium complex has moved a step closer after Ruth Kelly, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, decided not to intervene with the application.     Northampton have revealed that a full planning application for a new North Stand at Franklin's Gardens has been submitted for consideration to Northampton Borough Council. The proposed changes would take the capacity of the ground to over 15,500 and would see Sturtridge Pavilion, which has stood for nearly 50 years, replaced.     St Helens have sold the naming rights to the North Stand of their Langtree Park ground to an e-cigarette company in a two-year deal.   • Millennium Stadium Final Tier Unlikely To Be Completed

    Millennium Stadium chiefs have all but ruled out rebuilding its two-tier North Stand to complete three tiers all around the ground, according to BBC Wales. Sources have told BBC Wales the cost of the work would not be recouped by what would only be a limited increase to the stadium's 74,500 capacity.
